Soul Journey

Embark on a sacred journey of the soul, guiding you towards inner peace, self-discovery, higher awareness, and a deeper connection with your true self.

About This Course

Soul Journey — Discovering the Self Beyond the Body.

Soul Journey is a sacred inward exploration designed to take the seeker beyond the identification with the body and mind, into direct recognition of the Atma — the true Self. It is not a philosophy to be memorized, but an experience to be lived, guiding you step by step from intellectual understanding to felt realization of who you truly are.

This course takes you through the nature of the Soul, the practice of experiencing it within yourself and in others, the role of karma, the power of objects and silence, and finally, the felt distinction between body and soul. Through this sacred journey, self-knowledge stops being an idea — and becomes your lived experience.

Benefits of this practice

Direct, felt experience of the Soul within yourself
Ability to recognize the same Soul in every being

VI

The importance of objects — exploring how objects around us hold significance and how they quietly shape our emotions and reactions.

VII

Karma through three objects — a focused explanation of how karma expresses itself through three chosen objects, used as a tool for self-observation.

VIII

The practice of silence (Mauna) — understanding and applying Mauna as a tool to quiet the mind and turn attention inward.

IX

Body, mind & soul — three separate experiences — the culmination, where the seeker directly experiences body, mind, and soul as three distinct realities.

Philosophical essence

Soul Journey is not merely a set of concepts to be understood intellectually — it is a lived unfolding. Most of us live believing we are the body, or the mind, or the sum of our thoughts and feelings. This course gently but firmly guides you to question that assumption, and to arrive, through direct experience, at the truth of the Soul that quietly witnesses it all.

As the practice deepens, the seeker begins to sense the Soul not as an abstract idea in a scripture, but as a living presence — first within themselves, then in others, and finally as the one thread running through every body.

Who can practice this course?

Soul Journey is designed as a step-by-step inward exploration, and while it welcomes every sincere seeker, it is especially suited for those with:

  • A basic, regular meditation or self-reflection practice
  • Genuine curiosity about the nature of the Self, beyond belief
  • Willingness to sit with silence and observe without judgment
  • Openness to being guided closely through subtle inner experiences

Even sincere beginners can approach this sadhana when guided properly — each step is taught progressively, from understanding the Soul's nature to finally experiencing body, mind, and soul as three distinct truths.

The role of silence (Mauna)

Mauna — the conscious practice of silence — is one of the most direct tools on this path. When the constant noise of speech and reaction is set aside, the mind naturally begins to settle, and what remains is a quieter, clearer space in which the Soul can be sensed.

Practiced with awareness, silence becomes far more than the absence of words — it becomes a doorway. In that stillness, the seeker starts to notice the difference between the mind that speaks and the Soul that simply witnesses.

The core practice

At the heart of Soul Journey lies the direct discrimination between body, mind, and soul. Through guided reflection and inner observation, the seeker learns to notice each of the three separately — the body that acts, the mind that thinks and feels, and the Soul that quietly witnesses both, untouched.

Turn attention inward and simply witness. As the noise of the mind settles, the Soul reveals itself — not as something to be found far away, but as the quiet presence that was always here.

In yogic understanding, this discrimination between the Self and the not-Self is considered the very foundation of liberation. Regular practice brings emotional steadiness, reduces unnecessary attachment to people and objects, and opens the door to lasting inner peace.

Objects, karma & the Soul

The course also turns attention outward, to the everyday objects we surround ourselves with, and inward again to see how they shape emotion and action. Through the study of three chosen objects, the seeker begins to see karma at work in real time — not as an abstract law, but as a living pattern that can be observed and understood:

Outward Observation

Importance of Objects

Seeing how ordinary objects quietly generate emotion, attachment, and reaction.

Inward Observation

Karma in Three Objects

Using three chosen objects as a mirror to observe the working of karma within.

As this observation matures, the seeker begins to hold objects, actions, and reactions more lightly — recognizing the Soul as the one constant witness beneath all changing experience.

Common experiences & guidance

  • Difficulty at first in telling apart the voice of the mind from the presence of the Soul
  • A sense of lightness or detachment as attachment to objects begins to loosen
  • Restlessness during Mauna as the mind resists being still and silent
  • Sudden moments of clarity when body, mind, and soul are felt as distinctly separate

Each experience holds unique meaning, best understood under the guidance of a mentor. It is essential not to rush the process — this recognition of the Soul is a gradual, sacred unfolding, not a quick-fix realization.

The importance of a Guru

Discriminating the Soul from the body and mind is subtle inner work, and it is easy to mistake concepts for direct experience without proper guidance. It is highly recommended to undertake this course under the guidance of a qualified teacher — a realized guide who can clarify doubts and help you move from understanding to genuine, felt experience.

"You are not the body you carry, nor the mind that speaks — you are the Soul that quietly witnesses both. This is the sacred journey of the Self."
